Need help downloading models

So I go and save the file, and the file pops up with a bunch of folders, how do I get it onto the models list?

I am assuming that you mean that you downloaded a FMS plane file from an internet site and the file is a .zip file. Please correct me if this assumption is incorrect.
You now need to make a new folder in the location: c:\Program Files\FMS\Model\
Give this new folder the name of the plane you are downloading.
Un-zip the .zip file into the new folder.

To fly the new plane, start FMS, select "Model" on the top toolbar and select the new folder. Mouse-click on the .par file that appears and you should get a picture of the plane (if it was built for the 8.xx version of FMS). Select open, and you are ready to fly your new plane.
