not working with new models

I got everything working with the fsm download and I can fly anything that came with it. heli's and planes work great with no problems at all.

But when I try to download a new model and I go through the zip and extract the files to the model folder everything seems to work great. I get sound and see the heli/plane and then I try to fly and nothing happens. Like I said I can fly anything else on it but not the new model. I close it and then try again and I get the same results. sound and pic but no control over then heli/plane.

any Idea whats going on here?

You are using FMS 2 beta 7. The downloaded models are for FMS 2 alpha 8.5.

Save off your models, uninstall beta 7 and then install alpha 8.5 and restore your models.

that worked thank you. do you knopw where I can get some helicopters. like the honey bee or V200d02 something alittle better the the hughes. as I own a walkera V200d01. Would like something close to it. something fixed pitch and good.

Okay so Im finding some good helis from this forum some that I can really use to get better. but some of the ones I have put on the sims dont seem to run as smooth as others. its like the frame rate is off but when I check it it says that its at .005 sec. but the Frames per second are only at 1. so the heli looks like it is alittle jumpy. is there any way to fix this problem?

Got it thanks for some reason when Im at work the planes i download will only run at like 1 -5 frames per second but when I took the same planes home and ran them there they ran at like 50-80 frames per second. so i guess its something the do with my work comp being on the network or something. thanks alot for you help.

It sounds as though your computer at work is running a lot of programs in the background leaving very little processing time for FMS. You can try shutting some of them down, but if you screw up the utilities you need to do your work, don't tell your IT guy that I recommend it!
