Help! Help!

I am new to this helicopter lark and a bit green (very green) and have just purchased a Honey Bee King 4 ch. I have downloaded the software for the FMS simulator and connected my transmitter to the pc and guess what - not a sausage from the transmitter. The heli came with an rs232 cable but my PC does not have rs232 connectors only USB so I purchased a rs232/USB converter and guess what! yes nothing again. My PC is running windows XP. Can anyone please Help. I desperatley need the practice[/i]
