BF109 Messerschmitt Flight Characteristics

When flying the BF109 using full up elevator and about 1/4 throttle, I can almost hover the plane at about a 75 degree angle with very little forward speed. Does anyone know if the real Messerschmitt has these flight characteristics?

In all my reading about WWII fighters, seems like I recall that attempting to do what you describe would result in a violent snap roll before getting close.

I thought the 109 in FMS was modeled in smaller scale than a real one, since it's supposed to be a model plane, right? I am sure it would have very few flight performance similarities to the real 109 considering the size and weight difference.
