Beginner needs help w/ ESky simulator fms

I just received a Esky Hobby simulator w/ CD from Xheli and can't launch it -- I get an error message every time.

I'm using Windows Vista, which is NOT listed in the systems requirements on the box, but an Xheli rep told me on the phone that this simulator would work with Vista. My computer meets all the other listed system requirements.

The READ ME file listed this FMS website -- even though this simulator came with a disk, do I need to download some additional software?

Error messages are meant to give you a hint about what's wrong. So it can be useful to know what the message says .

I'd guess you probably need a d3drm.dll file (missing from XP and Vista) but there are many message on here about how to get FMS running with Vista. Try a search (top right of the screen) using "Vista" as a keyword.
