Windows XP - Service Pack 2 (ATI X800GTO): Sudden Crash

I love this app... a lot.

The only thing is that it seems to just crash the computer for no good reason...

I'll be playing and pop... the computer restarts...

System Specs:

1.5Ghz Pentium 4
512MB SD-DDR RAM
Sapphire ATI Radeon X800GTO - 256MB

I am also using an old serial-port MS Sidewinder Pro if that makes a difference.

My drivers are up to date and etc.

Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

XP hardly ever restarts due to software problems. This sounds more like a heating up problem. Do you have a temperature monitor such as SpeedFan?

I doubt my temperatures are going high because I can play Half-Life 2 no problem for hours and hours, and when I exit and look at my temps, they are all within a healthy range.

I think it's a software setting because when I messed with some options I was able to play it for a long time. But when I started it up again after downloading some models then it crashed midflight again.

I think maybe its either a faulty model or a options setting.
