SmartProPo Plus Will not run in XP?

Hi all I have just installed spp 3.3 on my xp machine but it will not run, It comes up with a windows error message when I try to start it either through fms or on its own. Usual 'SPP has encountered a problem and needs to close' Doing my head in now, the older versions do the same too, just will not run.

SmartPropoPlus was developed, tested and widely used on Windows XP.
Is this the only message you get?

On the latest version, yes. Just that error message, the icon appears in the system tray then dissapears when the message comes up!

Any ideas?

Hi Paul,
Let's start shooting in the dark. Are you an Administrator on your computer? I think you should.
Do you have access to your registry? If so, and you know what you're doing, remove HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Flying-Model-Simulator\SmartPropoPlus and try again.

If everything fails, I'd try removing SPP for FMS and installing the generic version.

Hi Shaul, I am admin on my pc yes. I removed the registry entry but no luck there. I have tried all versions of SPP but only a few of the older versions would load. One I tried worked, but then stopped working. This is the message I keep getting:

Certainly a severe bug. Could you please send me the output file to support at smartpropoplus dot com? I'm sceptical, but who knows.
If you are a SW person, you can also try to compile and debug the code. Could be interesting.
