Windows XP woes

I am using Windows XP.

I had an older version of FMS which was supplied when I purchased an adaptor cable that allowed me to use my transmitter. All worked very well until just recently, when I downloaded the FMS 2 alpha 8.5 version. This older version had a file of models, perhaps 100 or more.

Now when I try to select a different model, such as the A10, the graphics do not show up on the screen. The audio portion is there and the speed, altitude and vario indicators seem to function OK.

This new version will successfully load perhaps five models from the library, the remainder react as above.

Then, to compound matters, I once started the program and the A10 was on the screen, fully functional. Any idea of what is happening?
