White shadow under model in 8.5…Help!

Hello all, I’m new to the Forum but have been flying FMS for over a year. I have finely tried 8.5 and I’m just now getting used to it…not sure if I like it yet. My problem, other than some badly designed models, is that my aircraft has a white shadow, a small thing but it ruins the effect. Any ideas out there? My computer has,
Soyo K7VKPE 1.0 MoBo with an AMD 2800+ CPU and 1Gb memory.
XP Home sp2, up to date.
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 video card w/256Mb.
I fly using a Hitec 4-ch Laser transmitter and a USB cable.

I get the white shadow too, I actually like it. It appears to be an attempt at a shadow effect, just wrong coloring used.

I use it to help combat the disorientation felt because its not real..

Well…Maybe this is the way 8.5 works. Does everybody see a white shadow under the model plane?
I really don’t like it being white, but if you all see it it must be a setting within the program code I guess. If that’s the case I’m screwed, I’ve never re-written code and have no idea how.

click on graphic, then click on options..see the shadow options ?

click on simulations or view options
trun off the fix camera ...better ?

notice there's also a wind options

notice there's also a timing option incase your pc sticks.

use the numbers keys to adjust pilot posistioning to your liking.
click on zoom in or zoom out to your liking.

click MY PC/drive/programfiles/fms

notice a 2 stroke engine sound wave file ?
mmm..you can exchange electric sounds or engine sounds from
a thousand models...I do.lol
just makesure you assign the wave. file the same name as the
original model wave. file

notice there's a parimeter edit software also ?

notice .bmp files for some models are only in 256x256 ?
what if i increase the pixel to 512x512 or 1024x1024
what if I just creat my own scheme like i do when I build a model kit?

notice all of the .bmp files for the sceneries are also in 256x256 too
what if i increase the pixel size for those too?

if you don't those world type sceneries , you can always go
photolistic or rahter panorama.lol
