FMS fine on p500, jerky on XP2100+?

Hi,

I can run FMS v2 beta 6 fine on my machine at work (Windows 98SE, Intel Pentium p500, 127MB, onboard Intel graphics), but it's very very slow on my machine at home (Windows 2000, AMD XP2100+, 256MB, nVidia 32MB AGP graphics).

Any ideas why this might be? Or do I have to download the 6MB latest version on my 56K modem to get this to work?

OK, well I updated the graphics card drivers to the latest version, and whereas it's much better, I now get occasional, periodic 'stutters' after which there's a weird delay, almost like a buffer, between when I press a key, and when the model reacts. Weird - and pretty much unuseable.

Oh well, I guess I'll just continue to use it on the much lower-specced machine then - unless anyone can suggest anything?
