Thermal setting problems - Thermals disappear if you change setting

Love FMS... I downloaded a couple Hand Launch Gliders, and I'm hooked on flying them from a toss and working the lift from 5 or 6 metres on up.

One frustration, though: when I change the thermal settings, the thermals stop altogether. The only way I've found to get them back is to close FMS (at this point the registry reflects the new thermal settings), then open it; toss the glider and crash at least once; then open the thermal settings dialog and hit OK. After that it usually works fine at the new setting, until you move one of the thermal sliders again, and you have to go through it all once more.

In fact, even if you don't change the thermals, they don't seem to be there until you go through the routine: close and restart, launch and crash. (Just landing doesn't seem to do it.)

Any suggestions?
