Startup failure - win98 fms can't start

Whenever I start beta6 of FMS I get a dialogbox with message "Fehler bei Fliebkommaoperation" ... what does it actually mean, and why does it happen ?

running win98 on a notebook (DirectX is installed), videocard is a NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD

Search this forum, this problem was discussed many times here.
The solution: delete INIT.DAT file in your FMS directory and NEVER save setting with any plane other than Su-26.

The video card may cause very slow frame rate (reduce the resolution then) and, worst of all, it may have poor video driver, causing annoying artifacs on the screen.
Go desktop! ;-)

Thanks for the information ... well, actually I did a search about this problem but didn't find anything related to the error-message.

I know the videocard is causing slow frame rate, but I just wanted to test the interface I built on different machines. And actually, the fastest computer I have (PIII 350) has win2k ... and as mentioned in the forum, no transmitter driver available. So, currently I can use FMS only on the notebook right now.
