ATI RADEON 9600 XT

Try changing the resolution to a smaller one. I had kind of the same problem with my Radeon 9500 where I would load a plane but all that I could see is the prop and like the stab. Than I changed te resolution to a smaller one and it worked just fine. Or you could try updating your driver (I dont know if you tried that alreday). Hope this helps.

FMS 8.1 will not even load with the 9600XT . it seem's to partialy work on older cards like the 9500's after you make some sacrifices but you can't even get that far with a 9600xt
or later chip sets it seems.
It's a floor in FMS not being compatable with the newer radeons but im sure this will be addressed as the radeons are the card that all games are being based on now .
ATI's are leaving the rest for dead so why make software for
videocards without a future.
The FMS guy's have done an excellent job so far and im amazed they still let us have this flight sim for free.
Once they have the bug's sorted id be happy to pay a few bucks for a copy and to help keep them going
or later chip sets it seems.
