Hi,

I have problems to run FMS on my (company) NT-PC (just for lunch break - I promise).

I've installed beta 6 version, then I got the message "necessary since directX 6". I installed DirectX 6.0 - no success.

Then I tried to install the beta 5 version, because I saw that beta 6 requires directX 7.0, which doesn't run on NT. When I start beta 5 version it shows the message "runtime error 217 at 000605F8". Who can help?

The highest direct X windows NT 4.0 supports is direct X 3 which came with service pack 4 I believe. Windows 2000 works fine with direct X

I have EXACTLY the same problem as thomlahn. Unfortunately the reply from Shocksll does not help, as I cannot change to Win 2000. (P.S. Direct X 6.0 is available for Win NT4. Direct X 3 is NOT the latest). Is there a way to use FMS with Win NT4?

Thanks for the response and a great simulator. I guess I'll just have to go home earlier to get more simulator time!
