Invisible airplanes and nothing moves - 2.6 GHz Intel CPU, RADEON 9600 video

I installed version 7 beta and I eventually see the scenery, but no plane is visible. When I hit the throttle, the engine sound comes up, but nothing moves. Kill the throttle, and eventually the scene perspective updates, but still no airplane. What gives?

You may be running a version 8 model with the version 7 software. Either select a version 7 model, or upgrade to version 8 which runs both model types and also fixes some issues with ATI video cards.

In addition, always upgrade the version of your video card driver from the ATI site and make sure you're running the latest patches for DirectX 9.

Do you have an ATI card? If so try the alpha 8.5 version and leave the "true alpha" setting disabled.
