Win XP Problem - 8.5 worked, 7.0 does not

I have a windows XP machine with 2.8Ghz Intel 4 processor with 1GB Ram and a RADEON X300 Display Adapter. I first installed alpha 8.5 and it worked fine. I then tried to install Beta 7.0, and got the message that I must un-install 8.5 first, so I did. Then I installed 7.0, only it will not function correctly. When I start the program, first its a black screen for about a min. then the landscape loads. Once I got the error: "failed to create Key thermal form". I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times but it still will not work. Any advice?

Alpha 8.5 will run both beta 7 and alpha 8 models. No reason to install both versions, stick with alpha 8.5.
