help! controller and pc - problems with comunication

i was just given a futaba controller ( highest model but old ) and also have a pc interface. now when i conect it to the pc the signal goes on and off. i already put it to the PPM function. do i need to set the controller an any other way? Im really new at this so please help, I really want to play the game

What model of controller ? Which interface, did you buy it or make it ? If you made it where did you get the circuit from ?

If you mean it sometimes works fine but then stops working it may be as simple as the plug in the controller not fitting properly. It is sometimes necessary to cut part of the plastic cover off to get it to fit.
