Landscape lock-ups - Problem when changing scenes

My first post, so hello one and all!
I am an experienced electric powered model flier and was delighted to find FMS as it lets me fly when it's windy or dark...
While all the models work pretty well (I LOVE the DG1000), I have a major problem when I change the scenery, as most times the computer freezes and I have to Ctrl/Alt/Delete to restart. Advice as to how to overcome this would be most welcome! My processor is a P2/350 and I have 128meg of RAM

Make sure you are using the newer )Version 7) scenery.

I have had lockups in the past if I used older (Ver 6) scenery with FMS ver 7.

I now suspect my drivers need updating, when I get my courage up! :0

My computer locks up when changing scenery- (128M ram)-and I have had similar problem using large graphic files in graphic programs, so I turn off "texture" before changing scene, change to new scene, then turn on "texture". It works fine. Problem seems to be overloading computer with too much graphic data to handle. Good luck!
