Black Screen

I get a black screen only when starting the FMS. Sound works OK. I can get a background shot by changing the settings, but no plane appears.
I have DirectX8, all tests are OK. Other programs using DirectX run OK.

11-05-01: Changed settings: Decreased hardware acceleration to minimum, turned off textures in sim. Now flies with frame rate of 10-20/sec. Do I need a new video card? Running Trident Blade 3D.

No, DX does not work as well with these settings.

I've gotten that after I test loaded some older scereny.

Try loading the scereny that came with the Beta 7 and see if that helps.

After searching for every possible fix, I found that my video card doesn't fully support DirectX 7 or later (per the manufacturer's web page). I've had no problems so far, but have not tried many new programs or games.

Thanks for the simulator, good work. Can't wait til I get the new card and can see all the features.
