Graphics problems

I have a k6-2+ 550 notebook running windows me, direct x8.1. I've tried both Beta 6 & 7, and I've only got the game working partially, once. Most times, the screen is black, I can see part of the shed, and I can hear the plane, but not see it. The controls appear to work, I just have a mostly black screen. I've heard so much about FMS, please someone help me get it to work!

try the experimental Alpha versions available at fms homepage.
also worth checking to see if you have the latest graphic card drivers.

I've also got a K6-2 550Mhz and I get the exact same problem. This is really annoying because I tryied this Sim on a friends computer and It's really good!
