I have windows XP with the latest FMS version installed. Everything works well and I average around 40 fps. The problem is no matter what landscape I use, there are big flat black areas around the trees and buildings. I have tried everything I could think of, tweaking the settings and even checked the landscape programs to make sure "TRANSPARENT" is typed in. All appears in order and everything is fine except for the black areas around objects. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Cant help much, but i too had (or sometimes have) the same problem, i found that getting the latest motherboard/graphics card drivers helped a bit. For example i was getting 50fps until i updated my Voodoo 3 drivers, now i get closer to 93 fps. ???

I am experiencing the same issue. I am using a 3D Prophit 4500 card with the latest (as of 06/04/2002) drivers. In addition to the "Black Squares" around trees, I am also getting a very very annoying white "square" around my aircrafts shadow. This goes away when I turn off acceleration but.... Who can use this thing without acceleration

Anyone have a similar problem? I am running Windows 2000 with ALL updates / service packs as of today.
