Airttronics Vanguard - right stick not working

I just installed a simblaster usb cable and with my aitronics vg radio, the right thumb (ailerons and elevator) will not calibrate. When I try to calibrate it, the target in the window moves opposite fromthe way I'm moving the stick.
When I try to fly the FMS, my aileron movement controls the elevator, and visa versa.
I think I may be in the wrong "mode". Does anyone know how to switch modes on this controller?

I don't think it's anything to do with modes. Sounds like you just need to set the channel numbers on the LH side of the FMS mapping/calibration screen to the correct numbers, and tick the INV box if the control is inverted i.e. goes up instead of down or left instead of right.
