FMS.exe problems

Hi,

I've had a look at the other threads about this problem but couldn't find anything quite the same.

I have Windows XP, I can install FMS (any version) and all is fine. When I try to open it up I get the box with "FMS.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Then the offer to send a report or not.

Any ideas? I don't think it's McAfee that's the problem as it's not a warning from it.

I just got mine today, and I get the same error message, whether I use the disc supplied or the downloaded version. I also am running Windows XP ... curious as to the answer, as I am anxious to start flying!

OK ... got it working. Malcy, see Bunkers post on the following thread:

I followed it, and now FMS works fine. Sorry to everyone else for posting before looking in archives (pet peeve, I'm sure) ... OUT!
