Landing a brick - This is not ment as critisism

Hello, testing your Simulator was a pleasant surprise.
I have been using Dave Brown's sim with a Simstar dummy transmitter on the game port.
I would like to ask why most planes with engines land like a brick ? they slow down and stall far to quickly. Everything else is so wonderfull.
Also I noticed some wandering of the calibration of my sticks. ANyone notice this as well ?
