JR parallell interface - Lost signal

I had the interface working good for about 2 hours, then it started going nuts and I couldn't calibrate it. I restarted FMS and no longer could get a signal I've tried changing the settings and etc. with no success.

Any ideas...?

Could my xf421 trainer port be fried.

Hoping this may help some one, I finally got it working, I rebuilt the cable and that still didn't do it, but when I changed my port in bios from EPP to ECP...... VOILA..... It works great not as much jitter as before either.

Thanks for your tip on the printer port. I built the first interface cable for my Hitec Focus 4 with speaker wire but found it had a bad case of the jitters. So I built another using Radio Shack 278-514 2-conductor shielded audio cable and grounded the shield at both ends. I also placed the transister and 2 resistors in the metal case on the parallel port end. Result Rock Solid with NO Jitters. I couldn't be more pleased!
