JR XF421EX Printer port interface with windows ME

I just built the interface as described by Graham Collins and I get no signal. I've double checked circuit and the irq & ports. I then read that the interface does not work with win200, which is similiar to win ME. Does this interface work witn ME, or should I build the serial version?

I use win ME and fms works great. I don't know which you built, but this one works good for me....

Also be sure you don't have the transistor reversed, I have some pictures i got from a web site that helped me realize i had it backwards email me for them.
and be sure your port is on epp or ecp in the bios, ecp works better for me
