Futaba FC-16 Interface doesnt work

I made the Serial Interface like it was described but it does nothing. I use a Futaba FC-16 and Win98 and have not mixed up any cables.
Does anybody know what might be the problem?
How can I messure the signal on my LPD Port to know if there is one from my FC-16?
