Gameport to USB or Serial Conversion - Gameport to USB or Serial Conversion

Hi all,

I have a R/C Pilot Simulator Controller by Great Planes. It uses Gameport interface and I only have USB and Serial Interfaces on my Notebook.

Is it possible to convert Gameport Interface either to USB or Serial?

Hi

I'm not quite sure, whether your controller runs in digital or analog mode, but I guess it's digital. Since digital joysticks use a proprietary protocol (which in fact abuses the joystick port a bit), USB cannot emulate a gameport with a digital joystick on it (no problem with analog joysticks, though). In short: it *might* work with some devices, but most certainly it won't.
