After several attempts to get SmartPropo to work, I gave up.
Can someone please help me with the following:
- What Operating Systems does SmartPropo support. According to what I inderstand from their webpage, it only works with Win2000. Is this correct?
- Should there be a joystick configured in Windows for SmartPropo to function. If so, how many axis and buttons?
- Can a joystick be connected to the PC when SmartPropo is used, or should one disconnect the joystick.
- What version of FMS supports SmartPropo. I am using FMS Version 2.0 Beta 7.
- Does SmartPropo look at both audio channels (left & right), or only one specific channel? If so, should it be connected to left or right channel.
I am running Win98 Second Edition, Soundblaster 64 audio card, and using a JR XP 662 transmitter. The interface cable used is a standard 3.5mm mono audio cable, without any resistors. After dropping the correct dll file into the FMS directory, and setting up the audio level with Recorder, I tried to calibrate, but all the axis are jumping up and down, in no sequence. When I disconnect my joystick (which is not used when trying to get SmartPropo to work), there is no further movement on the axis when calibrating.
Any help would be appreciated, as SmartPropo looks like the ideal interface for FMS.
