What do I need

I've PC running on XP prof. (AMD1333 768MB Ram 60GB free diskspace, soundblaster life, USB 2, Firewire, paralel port, serial port.) a Multiplex 2020 transmitter or I can use a Futaba Skysport4.

Can anyone tell me what I need to get things working?

There are several types of interfaces available. It all depend on the amount of money available, as well as on which simulators/games you intend to us it with. You have basically three options:

1 - Serial PIC Interface
Cheapest.
Needs a Serial Port on PC.
Works perfect under all Windows versions.
Is limited to FMS only.
Supports up to eight proportional channels

2 - Joystick Interface
More expensive.
Needs a Joystick/Gameport on PC.
Works on all Windows versions, except WinNT.
Will work on all simulators/games having joystick support.
Supports four proportional channels, and up to four buttons.

USB Interface
Most expensive.
Needs a USB Port, making it ideal for notebooks.
Works on Windows 98 and upwards, except Win95/WinNT.
Will work on all simulators/games having joystick support.
Standard versions have four proportional channels, and four buttons. However, there are some interfaces capable of up to eight proportional channels.
