making smartpropo work - how to remidy problems with smartpropo

When I first built my smartpropo link cable, for my JR-xp652,
I could get no signal to the computer.
I realised it was because the cheap mono plugs I was using were not picking up the signal from the DSC jack.
When I replaced the cheap mono connectors with better quality stereo ones, it worked perfectly.

re your 15 May 2003 email and your "building" an interface for your JR transmitter. I am using the regular buddy box cord from the DSC port on the transmitter to the microphone input for the computer. It works, but with some jitter in the controls. What did you do with the interface you built that is different from the standard buddy box cord?
