AxisPad FX and XP

I got a AxisPad FX gamepad and it works great in Windows XP. If I choose the Joystick interface control in FMS, and test the gamepad by hitting the resolution button (can't remember exact name), I can make the test bars move, so FMS knows it's there. So far so good.

The only problem is, it won't control the planes.

I feel I'm this close to getting this to work.

Any ideas???

I don't know the gamepad, but if it works like a joystick as you say, it should work with FMS. If the blue bars move correct, all you need to do next, is to do the correct mapping & calibration.

The screen looks like this:



First, click on calibrate, and follow on-screen instructions.
Next, move a control, and see which bar moves. Assign that channel to the mapping (ie. throttle, aileron, elevator, rudder...). Planes use the top four mappings, and choippers the bottom four.

If a control is the wrong way round, click the Inv box of that control to correct it.
If you want less control in the centre of the stick, select Exp, which will give you exponential movement.
