I have loaded the software and tryied to use the G2 LPT interface and I don't get any responce when trying to set up the transmitter. I'm looking for a interface to use my JR 652 with. The Interface instructions don't seem to discuss an interface for JR radios. Any help would be would be great.

Thanks
Rob

The Realflight G2 interface will not work with any Sim apart from G2.

Hi Carnutt,

I take it you meant your URL to be:
:)

Unfortunately I've tried that circuit before. I've found that doesn't work with at least the JR-421's and JR-652's because they have coupled (or "floating" as some people call them) trainer outputs. In my case it meant that if my interface worked at all, it usually went bongo within a few minutes and needed to be unplugged/plugged-in again.

Steve Lewin was kind enough to put his serial interface for these types of JR's on the web and I have used it successfully. You could probably modify it to work on a parallel port if you need to. Try it out if you're still having problems:

Kind regards,
Anthony.

I use that circuit with the 421ex, you do need to change your port setting to epp in the bios. but no problems so far.....:)

AFAIK only the new PIC interface will work on Win XP.

A good start would be reading the discussions in the "PIC interface" forum just above this one.

Thanks Carrnutt for the diagrams and the interface instructions to build it. It works great. I would also like to tell you that it works with Jr XF622 radios. I change one thing on it. I used a 1/8" female mono plug insted of the sigle core shielded cable and 1/8" male mono plug.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BUDDY CORD FOR YOUR RADIO FIRST

I would like to thank the site and the people on it.
