PIC and Hitec Eclipse - Compatibility problems?

I have, in vain, tried to run FMS with Hitec Eclipse 7.
It does connect, but it's only jitter when I try to calibrate.
Other remote controls works fine, I have also tried on other PC's with the same result.
Any known remedy out there somewhere?

I've tried on laptop with W98 and PC with XP and with different PIC cables. no difference in behaviour.

It's not the PCM switchable version is it ? If so it must be set into PPM mode. PCM output gives exactly those symptoms. Other than that I've had no problems with any Hitec or Futaba Tx.
