Interface works bad

I´m having trouble getting my RC-control (Focus 6) to work with FMS (v 2.0, beta 7). I´m running Windows2000, and have built a PIC12C508 interface. If I have selected the protocol 9600 baud (selectable in FMS) I can effect channel 1 and 2 with the left stick of my controller, and nothing happens if I move the other stick. If I change the protocol to 19200 baud it is the opposite, I can effect channel 1 and 2 with the right stick.

I say "effect", because "control" isn´t really true… And the calibration doesn´t seems to work at all. Do you think this a software problem or hardware problem, like the interface or my RC-controller? Any idea what I can do to identify the problem better?

Have you separately set up your serial port? Please see my website for detailed setup (but note that my PIC Serial is 19200 version).
