As anyone every got the pic interface to work using a USB-serial adaptor.

Yes a couple of guys have used my PIC Serial interface via USB-serial adaptors. Since the PIC serial uses normal serial data transfer there should be no problems.

However if you are limited to USB ports it is cheaper to go for a USB - joystick interface that can also be used with programs other than FMS. See my website for details.
