HELP Getting connected -JR Transmitter

I looked over the threads and have loaded the recommended help. I am using the cable that came with my Hangar 9 P-51 trainer sim which works fine.

It appears I have an interface since I can calibrate the transmitter, however when I go to fly I have no control and the plane crashes right away on the runway.

Can someone help me get going?

UPDATE - I know I have control since I can set channels 1-4 under the calibrate and can get a plane in the air, what do I set for TAIL, NICK, ROLL & PITCH. I have thr following for Rudder 4, Elevator 3, roll 2, and Throttle 1

The bottom 4 channels Tail, Nick etc are usually set to the same as the top 4 so in your case 4, 3, 2, 1 again. But they are only used for helicopters not fixed wing planes.
