Smartpropo/FMS problems(long)

New user of FMS here.
Here is an odd problem I have that I cant seem to find any info on.
I am using an AMD athlon 1.8ghz, on board sound (soundblaster) and onboard video, and a JR XF622 radio using DSC conection using standard Mono 1/8th phone plugs (trainer cord) Every time I run FMS it lets me fly around for a few minutes which is great...then all of a sudden the computer reboots itself, only happens when Im running FMS. I have tried both the Line-In and the mic sockets both give the same result, Adjusting the volume levels doesnt have an effect either unless its set too low then FMS dont see the radio.
The trainer cord as far as I know doesnt have a resister in it. I am beginning to wonder if I need to make my own cable with a resistor so the rebooting stops? Anyone had this problem and or know the solution?

Chris,
I don't think it has anything to do with the Sound-card nor the SmartPropoPlus software.
To eliminate the sound-card:
Do not start FMS. Connect the Tx to the sound-card and use Phil's for a few minutes. If this is OK, this means that your sound-card is probably OK.
To eliminate SmartPropoPlus:
Use FMS with keyboard only (Remove SmartPropoPlus first). I believe it will also reboot.
