Graupner MC-24 works with FMS and USB-Joystick-Interface

Als ich gesucht habe, wie man die Graupner MC-24 über ein USB-Joystick-Interface mit dem FMS verbinden kann, habe ich mehr Fragen als Antworten gefunden. Vielleicht hilft diese Beschreibung jemandem. Aber zuerst möchte ich betonen, dass ich keine Verantwortung für eventuelle Schäden übernehme, die im Zusammenhang mit dem Befolgen dieser Beschreibung auftreten.

Meine MC-24 hat ein Schülermodul nr. 3290.3 für Eur 12,80. Um diese zu nutzen muss man das HF-Modul entfernen und den Stecker so einstecken, dass das rote Kabel in Richtung des linken Steuerknüppels schaut (siehe die Beschreibung von Graupner).

Bei ebay habe ich mir ein "USB RC Flight Simulator Cable" gekauft mit
1 x USB Simulator Kabel mit 3,5mm Klinke Mono (Stecker)
1 x Adapter von 3,5mm Klinke Mono (Buchse) auf 4-pol-DIN-Stecker (Hosiden)
1 x Adapter von 3,5mm Klinke Mono (Buchse) auf 6-pol-DIN-Stecker

Zusätzlich benötigt man ein Kabel mit einem 3,5mm-Klinke-Stereo-Stecker (männlich). Zum Beispiel von einem alten Stereo-Kopfhörer.

Für die nächsten Schritte benötigt man eine Lötstation/Lötkolben und einen Durchgangsprüfer/Multimeter.

Ich habe vom „Adapter von 3,5mm Klinke Mono (Buchse) auf 4-pol-DIN-Stecker (Hosiden)“ die Hosiden-Buchse abgeschnitten. So hat man ein Kabel mit 3,5mm-Klinke-Buchse.

Dann habe ich die 3,5mm Mono-Klinken-Buchse und den 3,5mm Klinken-Stecker folgendermaßen verbunden:

Mono – äußerer Anschluss (GND) mit Stereo Spitze
Mono – innerer Anschluss mit Stereo Mitte

Dann verbindet man das USB Simulator Kabel mit dem PC und über das neue Adapterkabel mit der Schülerbuchse der MC-24, kalibriert es über den Gamecontroller in der Windows Systemsteuerung. Dann starte man den FMS. In „Steuerung“ --> „Analoge Steuerung“ wählt man das „Joystick Interface“, kalibriert es und invertiert alle Kanäle. Je nach persönlicher Vorliebe muss man die Kanäle neu zuordnen.

When I searched for a possibility to connect my Graupner MC-24 over a USB joystick adapter to FMS, I found more questions than answers. Maybe I can help someone. But first of all, I'm not responsible for any damage you case by trying to follow this description.

My MC-24 has a Connection-interface (Schülermodul) Nr. 3290.3 for EUR 12,80. To use it, you must remove the HF-module and plug in the connector in a way that the red cable looks in the direction of the left Joystick (see the manual of Graupner).

At ebay, I bought an "USB RC Flight Simulator Cable" (Eur 9,90 + shipping) with
1 x USB Simulator Cable with male 3,5mm Klinke - Mono
1 x Adapter from female 3,5mm Klinke Mono to 4-pinl-DIN-plug (Hosiden)
1 x Adapter from female 3,5mm Klinke Mono to 6-pin-DIN-plug

In addition, you must have a cable with a male 3,5mm Klinke Stereo plug. E.g. from an old stereo headphone.

For the next steps, you need a soldering station and a circuit indicator/Multimeter.

I took the “Adapter from female 3,5mm Klinke Mono to 4-pinl-DIN-plug (Hosiden)” and removed the Hosiden-plug. So I had a cable with female 3,5mm Klinke Mono.

Then I connected the female 3,5mm Mono-Klinke and the male 3,5mm Klinke Stereo plug in the following way:

Mono outside-connection (GND) to Stereo-tip
Mono inside connection to Stereo-middle

Then you connect the USB-connector to your PC and over the new adapter cable with the connection interface of the MC-24, calibrate it over the game controller menu of Windows. Then you start FMS. In “Controls” --> “Analog controls”, you choose your “Joystick interface”, calibrate it, and invert all channels. Depending on your preference, you must reorganize the channels.
