How to connect/install this adaptor device ? (pics inside)

Hi!

I own a Robbe Futaba FC-16 with a FP-R118F receiver (PPM) and don't have a trainer module.
I found this adaptor in my cellar (pics below, don't know the manufacturer, no logo/text on it's case)
with a joystick/gameport connector on the one side and two connectors for the receiver on the other side.



If i power on the sender and the receiver and connect the two cables to port 1-4 (doesn't matter
which one to which port i think...) windows recognizes that a gameport-joystick is connected,
but when i try to calibrate it doesn't react on the sender's signals. If I connect only one cable,
it doesn't recognize the device.

Any ideas? Any hints?

Looking at the pictures, I see the following connections:

Ref:

Rose 1 to pin 7 (Button 2 input)
Red 1 to pin 6 (Y1 input)
Brown 1 to pin 5 (Ground)
Brown 2 to pin 4 (Ground)
Red 2 to pin 3 ((X1 input)
Rose 2 to pin 2 (Button 1 input)

The two grounds are connected together.
There is a 1K resistor from B1 to ground, and from B2 to ground.

A capacitor between pin 8 (+5V) and pin 6.

The connectors could be placed directly on the potentiometers of the transmitter, but you only get 2 axes (simple glider). ????????
