SIMtransmitter - doesnt make models fly?

Hi

I recently purchased a USB SIMtransmitter for my son and have installed FMS 2.0 Beta 7.

I can calibrate the joystick, but the controller does not fly any of the models (only via keyboard). Have I overlooked something or what is the fix? Using Windows XP.

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Probably a stupid question, however did you tell the FMS to use the joystick and calabrate it there as well?

Top of the FMS window third menu from the right "Controls" Click on it and select analog controls then make sure your inputs are going to the right channels.

If you've done that Im clueless..

Have you calibrated it, not just in Windows but in FMS (Controls/Analog Controls/Joystick - MappingCalibration button) ? And also set the correct channel numbers in the boxes on the LH side of that screen ?

That might help, if not I'm stuck. You'd need to say EXACTLY what steps you've taken and what happened.

Have got it working and understand it better now - the calibration / channels were set up wrong.
