whats wrong with this model??

hey everyone
i tried making a model and it shows up in metasequoia fine but wont show up in the simualtor. it shows the runway but no plane. its like its invisible. i can throttle up and take off but its invisible. while stealth technology is great this is not the purpose of this plane...haha.

here is the link to download the .x file for the model. i just renamed a par file and wav file from another model to try and make it work. i tried it in ver 6, 7, 8.1, 8.5 and it doesnt show up in any of them and crashes right away in 8.5. i can view the 3d model in the directx viewer from microsoft.





if anyone can take a look and help me out id appreciate it greatly.

instead of giving your X-file, please, give your MQO-file. I might try to get it visible.

i dont have a mqo file as it was created in MAYA and exported to .x format directly.

would another format help like an .obj or .dxf or something?

Maya has to be able to export a single object .x file. There are other posts regarding this issue. The only sure fire way to make the correct kind of .x file is to save the model out of Metasequoia LE 2.1.

Your .x file is not the right format for FMS. Take a look at the working .x files with Windows Notepad.

You can also export from Maya to an file type that can be imported to Meta LE 2.1 and then save the .x file. Some folks are doing it that way because they already have a favorite tool.

Meta LE 2.1 is free....
