how can i get a screen shot on my fms or video

Screenshot, <shift> <PrtSc> records the entire screen to the cut-and-paste buffer. Open a graphics editing application, like Windows Paint, and select <Paste> as a new image. Then crop as desired.

Movies are a bit tougher, you'll need some software for that. I've yet to find a free one so haven't recorded any movies.

There will be no response to a standard PrtSc key depress.
It is just a Windows system function that copies to the internal 'clipboard'.
You must go to the other application to see if it can paste the screen image from the clipboard.
