mapping probs ???

installed fms on laptop works ok if i look at the mapping channels 1-4 joystick 1 are in use loaded onto desktop pc and the mapping as assinged the controller to channels 5-8 joystick 2 how do i change from joystick 2 to joystick 1 tried uninstalling but reloads the same ?
