here

http://rcp.web.infoseek.co.jp/fms_aircraft_e.html

If you look around there's starwars models too.

You can also try Rc-sim.

look in the 2.7 section also.

Also just google FMS models, and you'll see veriouse sites
Some might overlap..some dosn't, but there's plently of space models
for FMS.

There's a couple of 3d space scenery.

If you google equirectangular or Skybox , you can get Skybox images
and use it in FMS.

Just google Skybox...serch under image..and you'll get the general
idea of what a skybox is.

You can also download the Ratty scenery from Rc-sim.
The instructions are in english..so you can comprehend it better.

Just edit out ratty_ for the texture name in the .scn file.
Use Notepad.

this way it's just up, down, left, right...etc.

then just remane the versiouse skybox image to match whats in
the .scn file.

You need to convert those images to .bmp (24bit).
You can use GIMP..becuase gimp can import and export veriouse image file types.

For example..you can import .tag files from doom and just export it
as .bmp

You might want to inscrease the size of the image to 1024x1024
at the very least..if they are 512.

use the images scaling in gimp...then just sharpen it..around 10%

To drop the ground...lower the ground so you can fly in a complete
sphere...as if you're flying in space..

Edit the quads numbers.
You'll see this in the .scn file

1000 1000 30
1000 1000 -30
1000 1000 -30
1000 1000 30

Edit the last colume number(30) of the first line and forth line to

-500 or lower...or as low as you want it to be.

example....1000 1000 -1000.lol

Add a vaule to the last colume of the model's posistion..just give it a 1

example

0 0 0 1

Then just hand luacnh the model and you can fly in space.

or you can download the alaska scenery that I made...
bascailly You can use the .scn file out it.
Notice how I lowered the ground so you can do slope flying
in that scenery.

For the equirectangular (360x180)..you need a sphere to cube converter.
If you need me to do that alian planet one...just PM me.

I have some off the wall skyboxes collections, but if you serach for them
you can probably obtain them

If you use one those galexy (starts)..you can use GIMP to layer
in a space station, spacships, planets on some of the skybox's image.
You can get as creative as you wish.

have you tried RC-SIM

I'm not sure how familar you are to 3D modeling.
There's plenty of software to choose from.

The Meta for XP version is Free
Blender is also free

FMS use .x, or .mqo. or .geo types of files to render the 3d objects
or the models.

There's a script you can get from RC-sim to allow Blender to
import and export .mqo files

Blender imports and exports .3ds, AC3D, .obj , .x and veriouse other formates.

I've converted FMS models and used it in other Sims.

There's all kinds of space .3ds models avaliable for FREE download.
Just convert them into .x files and use it in FMS.

Kind of like converting mp3 into itunes, but a little bit more.

FMS dosen't like TRI faces...so just use Blender to make the Faces QUADS

Generally when you first open the models' files.

Just Click..."edit mode" and then "W" or use the tool bar.
You'll see the options in the table
