Hey, it's not done yet. I just got it flyin'. It's up to you to tweak the .par so it flys like the real thing.

Cool, I just need to find a hosting service to post it on my site, I adjusted the CG foreward a little, now it flies a little more straight and true, now for the fine tweaking.......

Ok, I also figured out that the control throws were way too high for this model, so I toned them down a bit, and moved the CG backward, incrementally, till' it seemed to feel right, however, never having even flown a real model in my life, much less this one, I cannot be sure it is realistic. I have uploaded the latest version

Also, should the CG be leveled with the wing on this type of model? I'm thinking that something is still wrong with the CG because the model tilts to the left in flight, and it is centered perfectly, but trim adjustment does nothing. (could this just be prop torque?)

Yup, torque roll will make the model turn left. You can get rid of it but most 3D models enjoy the extra torque when hovering. It's partially the size of the prop and partially the moment of inertia in the MOTOR section. You can lesson it or increase it by sliding the decimal place right or left.

0.0002 //moment of inertia [kg*m^2]

numbers like 0.00002 will lessen the effect and 0.002 will increase it.

Also, rename your jpg file to be YAK-55-FlightFlex_prv.jpg. Then it'll show up in the preview window when you load the model.

The only way you'll know how it should fly is to see a video of it flying or get one yourself. It looks great to me!

I have one, but I don't yet have all the equipment to get it flying, (i.e. servos, battery, ESC, and some extensions....)

the vids make it look like it is really easy to hover, but my model likes to roll out of the hover too easily......still tweaking.........

EDIT: just a thought, would the DRAG coefficient being off center laterally cause the roll?
