Model/Landscape Download site?

Hello Everyone,

I live in the US and have just got into FMS. I fly RealFlight G2, as well as EasyFly. My Question is, How would you guys like a English based Webpage where you can preview and download addons, Also plane rating and so on. I enough people are interested and would send stuff to me to startup the site, I would build and maintain it. At that point anyone can send in thier new Models and have them added to the webpage. Well just let me know if you would like this to happen.

Maybe I can find someone on here willing to setup server space for it

That sounds good to me.

However, a good start would be a walkthrough (at idiot level) of exactly what *is* required to *roll your own* models.

For example, while I can draw very proficiently using *Visio*, I just cannot get my head around Metasequoia at all.

(Questions: ...what is suposed to happen when I press F5?
...how do I change to *Projection view*?)

I don't want to ### around changing shapes to approximations of what I want, I *want* to be able to draw 3 views in Visio, save them as a .dxf file (or whatever) and put them straight into Metasequoia, or doesn't it work this way? I freeely admit that I haven't a clue about 3D drawing! :0
To me, there is no point at all in any of this if the models aren't accurate, both in appearance AND flying.

Less than *right* is just not good enough for me, I'm afraid...

While there are a lot of *good* models to download, there are also quite a few that do not behave at all like they should.
Is this a failing of drawing or parameter accuracy, I wonder?
