Help!

i try to make my own plane using MetasequioaLE but it always comes out block looking. well what i mean is not very aerodynamic. could you please help me out?

There are 2 ways I use to have more round-looking planes :

1 - Create lot-of-faces cylinder, then cut with knife and modify each cut part.

2 - Create detailed body of lines, & apply faces to them.

But every time i use the knife it says "Cut Failed".

The cut works across a face and 2 lines. It will not cut a single line. I've found it best to cut entirely through objects both sides and edge to edge. Otherwise, you'll sometimes have sections of an object develop holes in them when you move specific points of an object.

Alternative to the cut cylinder method you could also try method 2:

Think of your plane as a real model and built it up out of a kit of parts. My latest project was doen this way and looks quite good so far.

Have a look at the 'Big Zlin' for some ideas...
