Hi I would really greatly appreciate it if some one could explain to me how to change the paint scheme.

I found a heli that I like but wanted to change the paint scheme.

Can anyone please help me?

I've now put my new paint scheme on the heli I downloaded but i cant load up the heli into Metasequoia so I can invert the other side of the heli.

I assume its because there is no MQO file so how do I create one or get around this problem?

Can someone please help?

Simply modify the colors in the bmp file for your model in the FMS 'model' directory. No need to go under metasequoia.

To drop a new color, you may use a 'fill' tool provided by an image software.
Save a copy of the original bmp file under another name before doing the modification.

PS: for example, modify the yellow surface to another color in the bmp file that looks like:

I did have trouble with what you have explained but then managed to get the scheme on the heli its just now a case of getting the letters that are mirrored on the other side so they arn't reversed.

Maybe it's better to show you the bmp layout and how it comes out on the heli.

To show an image:
[im g]http://..../your-image.jpg[/im g] or bmp,... remove the blanks!

You need an external 'repositoty' site for the images (your own, or imageshack or another free host site)

About mirroring: i'm not a specialist of metasequoia.

Did you read these parts of the previous document ?

12 Flip the texture

Maybe other metasequoia users can help you. Yes, please give additional info about the encountered problem.

Ill go into as much detail as i know about the problem.

I created a paint scheme in the bmp file only and it shows up on the heli exacally how i want it to in the exact positions. The only problem i have is. in the bmp file i can only add the paint scheme i want to one side of the heli and it automatically when loading up the heli in fms mirrors the scheme i done on to the other side and causes the problem of the letters being backwards.

Maybe it's not a mayjor problem as the only lettering is a small bit of writting.
