Spitfire Model

Is there any scale models out there that look like what they are meant to look like yet still look a bit like a model.

For example: a model that looks kind of like a spitfire but you can tell it's a model of it with out so much detail that it looks like a real spitfire.

I'm probably not making sense.

Compare the topflite spitfire model to the spitfire model from blackhorse.
I'm looking for one like the blackhorse.

I don't know whether these Spits will be what you want but James Grieve has several on his .

You can always modify the .bmp image map file of the model to make it look more like a model.

Ok ive now changed the paint shceme to look more basic like the model from blackhorse and ive also moved the wheels further apart and changed some features, which i done in Metasequoia. The problem that i now face is when i load it up in fms the pain scheme is how i wanted it but the features that i changed in Metasequoia havnt changed and it appears like it was before i changed the features.
But when i load it up in Metasequoia it shows up how i changed the features.

If anyone has a clue on how to fix this or suggestions i will be very keen to know.

Did you "Save As" the model using Metasequoia LE as a DirectX .x file? If you didn't save the .x, it will not show up in FMS because FMS does not use the .mqo file.

Thanks ill remember that for next time.

Unfortunately I’ve come across yet another problem.
I now have the plane looking how I want it but not flying how I wanted yet when I try to load it up in par editor it says its invalid.

Not to worry i've downloaded another par editor and edited the plane and is now how i wanted it.
